Import and Export

TamRank makes it easy to migrate from other SEO plugins and backup your settings.

Importing from Other Plugins

TamRank can import data from:

• Yoast SEO
• All in One SEO
• Rank Math
• SEOPress

Import Process

1. Go to TamRank → Import/Export
2. Select “Import from Plugin”
3. Choose your previous SEO plugin
4. Select what to import:
   • Meta titles and descriptions
   • Focus keywords
   • Robots meta settings
   • Redirects
   • Schema settings
5. Click Start Import

What Gets Imported

Exporting TamRank Settings

Backup your settings or transfer to another site:

1. Go to TamRank → Import/Export
2. Select “Export Settings”
3. Choose what to export:
   • Plugin settings
   • Redirects
   • 404 log
4. Click Export
5. Save the JSON file

Importing TamRank Settings

Restore settings from a backup:

1. Go to TamRank → Import/Export
2. Select “Import Settings”
3. Upload your JSON file
4. Review the changes
5. Click Import

Migration Best Practices

1. Backup first – Always backup before major changes
2. Test on staging – Try migration on a test site first
3. Verify data – Check a sample of posts after import
4. Keep old plugin – Don’t delete until verified
5. Clear caches – Clear all caches after migration

Troubleshooting Import Issues

Import seems stuck:

• Large sites may take several minutes
• Check server timeout settings

Missing data after import:

• Verify source plugin was active
• Check for custom field conflicts

Redirects not working:

• Save permalinks after import
• Check for conflicting redirect plugins
