Connect TamRank to Claude

Connect TamRank to Claude and you can ask about your WordPress site in plain language: what needs attention this week, which pages lost clicks, which titles are missing. It takes a few minutes, and you need no local server or API token.

In short

  1. In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it TamRank and paste https://mcp.tamrank.com/mcp as the server URL.
  3. Sign in with your TamRank account, pick your website and allow access.
  4. Turn the connector on in a chat and ask your first question.

Before you connect

You need a TamRank account and a WordPress site running TamRank PRO. Custom connectors work in Claude on the web and in Claude Desktop. On the Free plan of Claude you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector for the organization first, and you then click Connect under Customize → Connectors.

How to connect

  1. Open the connector settings. In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
Claude Customize, Connectors page with the Add menu open and Add custom connector shown
Under Customize, Connectors, click + Add and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the TamRank URL. Enter TamRank as the name and paste this as the remote MCP server URL, then click Continue:
    https://mcp.tamrank.com/mcp

Leave sign-in on the settings Claude detects and click Add. If the TamRank sign-in does not open by itself, click Connect on the connector page.

Add custom connector dialog in Claude with the name TamRank and the URL https://mcp.tamrank.com/mcp filled in
Name it TamRank, paste the server URL and click Continue.
Step 2 of 2 in the Add custom connector dialog with Sign in now and Use Claude published identity selected
Leave the detected sign-in settings as they are and click Add.
  3. Sign in with TamRank. Claude opens the TamRank sign-in. Enter the email address of your TamRank account and click Send me the code. Type the six-digit code from the email, or click the sign-in link in it. Then choose the website you want to connect and click Give access. You see the site address and what Claude may do before you confirm. If you are already signed in to TamRank, you go straight to choosing the website.

  4. Approve the site in WordPress (first time only). If this site was never connected before, TamRank asks you to approve the connection once in your WordPress admin. A site that is already connected skips this step.

Ask your first question

Start a new chat, click the + button at the bottom left, open Connectors and make sure TamRank is switched on. Then ask:

What should I improve on my site this week?

The first time Claude uses a TamRank tool, it asks for your permission. Choose Allow once or Always allow. Claude reads your TamRank work queue, signals and Search Console data and answers from those. If you have more than one site connected, say which one.

Changes always need your OK

Claude can only read until you ask for a change. For a change, it first shows you an exact plan with every page, the old and new values and any warnings. Nothing is written until you approve that plan in the chat, and every change is logged and can be rolled back.

Disconnect or manage access

To remove TamRank from Claude, go to Customize → Connectors and choose Remove. You can see and revoke connected assistants on mcp.tamrank.com/account.
