Schema Markup Basics

Schema markup (structured data) is code that helps search engines understand your content and display rich results in search.

What is Schema?

Schema.org is a vocabulary of tags that you add to HTML to improve how search engines read and represent your page. It enables special search result features called “rich results” or “rich snippets.”

How TamRank Adds Schema

TamRank automatically adds schema based on your content type:

  1. Global Schema: Site-wide organization/person data
  2. Post Type Schema: Default schema for posts, pages, products
  3. Individual Schema: Custom schema per post

Configuring Default Schema

  1. Go to TamRank → Settings → Schema
  2. Set your organization/person type
  3. Configure default schemas for each post type
  4. Save changes

Validating Your Schema

Test your schema markup:

  1. Google Rich Results Test: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results
  2. Schema.org Validator: https://validator.schema.org
